The Demon Trappers

The first book of the Demon Trappers Series, Forsaken, is was released in the United Kingdom on 7 January, 2011. The series, written by Jana Oliver, follows the activities of 17-year-old Riley Blackthorne, a citizen of Atlanta, Georgia (USA) in the year 2018. This “alternate reality” Atlanta is in the grip of a financial meltdown, and is plagued by demons and scheming Necromancers. Riley is an apprentice demon trapper training with her father, Master Trapper Paul Blackthorne. Since Riley is still learning the trade she can only trap lower-level demons, but even those fiends pose a threat.

Look for The Demon Trappers: Forsaken in UK bookstores in January 2011, Forbidden in August 2011, Forgiven in March of 2012 and Foretold in August 2012  (published by Macmillan Children’s Books, London).

Jana has been putting words to page for over ten years. Previous works include The TIME ROVERS Series published by Dragon Moon Press. Set in Victorian London, the Time Rover books are best described as “Time Travelers, Shapeshifters and Jack the Ripper.”

The series (SOJOURN, VIRTUAL EVIL and MADMAN’S DANCE) was nominated for fifteen awards and has won twelve to date. She has also written short stories,  a non-fiction article for an anthology, and various magazine articles.
